Terms of Service
Welcome to The Meat Legacy. These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and the purchase, preparation and delivery of products ordered through The Meat Legacy.
By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before purchasing.
About The Meat Legacy
The Meat Legacy provides fresh meat, organs, bones, fish and other animal-based products intended for pet feeding.
Our products are sourced, prepared, portioned and packed with an emphasis on:
- Freshness • Quality Sourcing • Small-Batch Preparation • Hygienic Handling • Customer Requirements
Unless expressly stated otherwise on an individual product page, individual meats, organs, bones, fish and specialty cuts should be regarded as complementary ingredients and not nutritionally complete and balanced meals.
Fresh Procurement & Preparation
The Meat Legacy follows a fresh procurement and preparation model.
We do not rely on meat stored for extended periods as inventory. Products are sourced and prepared according to customer orders and our scheduled preparation and delivery cycles.
This approach allows us to prioritize freshness while reducing unnecessary storage.
Because products are procured and prepared specifically for scheduled orders, customers should place orders within the applicable ordering cut-off times.
Orders & Minimum Order Value
The minimum order value for delivery is ₹499, excluding applicable delivery charges or other fees unless otherwise stated.
An order is considered confirmed once it has been successfully submitted and, where applicable, payment has been received or authorized.
Product availability may depend on fresh market availability and sourcing conditions.
If an ordered product is unavailable, we may contact you regarding an alternative, rescheduling or other appropriate resolution.
Product Availability
Because we work with fresh animal products, availability can vary according to:
- Market supply
- Seasonality
- Cut availability
- Supplier availability
- Quality assessment
- Preparation requirements
Displaying a product on our website does not guarantee that it will be available on every delivery date.
We reserve the right to contact customers regarding unavailable products before preparing an order.
Customized Orders & Packaging
Where available, customers may request specific cuts, portions or customized packaging.
Customized preparation is subject to feasibility and availability.
Where customized packaging is requested:
- A one-time customized packaging charge of ₹75 may be added to the order.
Delivery Area
The Meat Legacy currently provides delivery across Bangalore, Karnataka.
Certain locations may have different delivery availability, charges or schedules.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address, contact number and delivery instructions.
Delivery Schedule
Orders received before 9:00 PM are scheduled for delivery by 11:00 AM the following day, subject to product availability, serviceability and circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Orders placed after the cut-off time will move to the next available delivery cycle.
Delivery times are estimates unless expressly confirmed otherwise.
Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are paid by the customer and may vary depending on the delivery location and applicable delivery service.
The applicable delivery charge will be displayed or communicated as part of the ordering process wherever possible.
Third-Party Delivery Partners
The Meat Legacy uses independent third-party delivery partners to transport customer orders.
Once an order has been handed to a delivery partner, certain aspects of transportation—including traffic conditions, route selection and unexpected delays—may be outside our direct control.
However, we take delivery-related concerns seriously and will make reasonable efforts to assist customers when an issue occurs.
Receiving Your Order
Because our products are fresh and perishable, customers should ensure that someone is available to receive the order.
*Upon delivery, customers should:
- Inspect the packaging and product condition.
Follow the supplied storage instructions immediately.
Avoid leaving fresh/raw products unattended or at room temperature for extended periods.
Contact The Meat Legacy promptly if there is a concern regarding the order.
Damaged Products or Temperature Concerns
If your order arrives with damaged packaging, leakage, or you have concerns regarding its temperature or condition, do not feed the product to your pet until the concern has been assessed.
Contact The Meat Legacy as soon as possible and provide:
- Order number/details
- Description of the issue
- Clear photographs of the packaging
- Clear photographs of the affected product
We will review the concern and, where applicable, coordinate with the delivery service provider to determine an appropriate resolution.
Where deterioration results from improper storage or handling after successful delivery, replacement or refund eligibility may be affected.
Returns, Replacements & Refunds
Due to the fresh and perishable nature of our products, returns cannot generally be accepted once an order has been successfully delivered.
If you believe a product has a quality, packaging or delivery-related problem, contact The Meat Legacy promptly with supporting photographs.
Any replacement, credit or refund will be considered according to:
- Nature of the issue
- Product condition
- Time elapsed since delivery
- Storage and handling after delivery
- Photographic or other supporting evidence
- Circumstances of the delivery
Approved replacements or refunds will be handled according to The Meat Legacy’s applicable refund and replacement policy.
Order Cancellations
Because products may be procured and prepared specifically for individual orders, cancellations must be made before procurement or preparation of the order has commenced or within an hour of placing the order.
Once sourcing, cutting, preparation or customized packing has begun, cancellation or refund may no longer be possible.
Storage & Handling
Customers are responsible for following the storage, handling, thawing and serving instructions supplied with each product.
Failure to store or handle raw products appropriately may affect product quality and safety.
Customers should also maintain appropriate hygiene when handling raw animal products, including cleaning hands, utensils, feeding bowls and food-preparation surfaces.
Pet Nutrition & Veterinary Guidance
Information provided by The Meat Legacy regarding nutrition, portions, feeding, ingredients or individual products is intended for general educational purposes.
It is not veterinary diagnosis, treatment or individualized medical advice.
Nutritional requirements vary according to factors including:
- Species • Age • Weight • Activity • Body condition • Reproductive status • Health • Overall diet
Pets with Medical Conditions
Customers should consult their veterinarian before feeding The Meat Legacy products to pets with diagnosed medical conditions, prescription diets, allergies, intolerances or other specific nutritional requirements.
Where possible, The Meat Legacy may prepare or portion suitable products according to instructions provided by the customer’s veterinarian, subject to availability and preparation requirements.
Bones & Raw Feeding
Bone-containing products require appropriate selection and handling.
Not every bone is appropriate for every dog or cat. Suitability can depend on factors including:
- Species
- Size
- Age
- Dental health
- Bone size
- Bone hardness
- Preparation
- Individual health
Never feed cooked bones to pets.
Customers should seek veterinary guidance when uncertain whether a bone-containing product is appropriate for their pet.
Complete vs Complementary Food
Unless a product is specifically identified as a complete and balanced food, individual meat, organ, bone, fish and specialty products sold by The Meat Legacy should not be assumed to provide every essential nutrient required by a dog or cat.
These products may be intended as complementary ingredients within an appropriately formulated feeding plan.
Weekly / Recurring Orders
Customers may be able to arrange weekly recurring deliveries, subject to product availability, delivery serviceability and the applicable ordering arrangements.
Customers remain responsible for notifying The Meat Legacy of required changes, pauses or cancellations within 24 hours on recurring orders.
Website Information
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, prices, availability and other information displayed on our website are accurate.
Because fresh animal products naturally vary, actual products may differ somewhat in:
- Size
- Shape
- Colour
- Fat content
- Bone-to-meat ratio
- Appearance
Such natural variation does not necessarily indicate a product defect.
Changes to These Terms
The Meat Legacy may update these Terms of Service from time to time to reflect changes in products, operations, delivery arrangements, website functionality or applicable requirements.
The latest version will be published on this website with the applicable Last Updated date.
